NEW YORK – After resting her voice, Adele is ready to sing again.
The best-selling singer-songwriter from Great Britain was forced to cancel the rest of the dates on her North American tour earlier this month because of laryngitis. Now she has rescheduled those dates and added some shows in Las Vegas, Miami and other cities.
Columbia Records said in a statement Thursday that the concerts will begin in Vancouver on Aug. 9 with shows scheduled throughout the rest of the month. Performances will then resume Oct. 7 in Atlantic City, N.J.
The Grammy-winning singer has one of this year's top albums with "21," including the No.1 hit, "Rolling in the Deep." The album has sold 2.3 million copies.

I actually have more of a problem with OTHERS who use the name that way. Brits or Europeans who forget that 'America' includes more than just the USA. Citizens of the US who use the name America are only referring to their own country, not the rest of us.
chebrew>> REALLY? You think the name America referred to the US before the rest of the continent(s). Why then do you suppose the founders chose that particular name then? You think perhaps the mapmakers said "Well, since this country is called the United States of America, how about if we just call the whole place America" Read you history a bit, dear, the continent had the name LONG before the US came into being..
